PROBLEM WITH VW WINDOWS

Can somebody help. I have a 2006 VW Beetle Convertible and am having problems with the windows. When I open the door with the key the windows drop a little to allow them to clear the roof. Once in the car and you close the door the windows should automatically go backup. On my car the windows go back up before I have closed the door and therefore catch the roof and stop the door closing. This use to only happen to the drivers door but has now started to happen to the passager side door also. Can anybody advise on how to repair this problem.

Also, when the door is open, the windows will sometimes go up and down themselves. Not the way up and down but just shuffle.

Just check to see if the carpet is wet? If so the control module is getting
damp (it lives in a little hole cut into the floor carpet).

Remedy is to lift the carpet and dry out

Think its the connections gong into the module that corrode.

Window controller then would be the next obvious thing.

But get it plugged in first to see what fault codes you have stored.

Try some of the VW forums they might have a fix for you
