I'm trying to work out which part is faulty, I thought I had problem with actuator head on mid position valve, I changed the head and still with the original problem with nothing happening on ch only
Selected.
So I'm thinking either r/stat or programmer so I need test them ,
Because programmer is a few years old, it is called UP1,
What other programmer could I put straight on to replace it if possible???

If no one knows ,how do I go about finding out which one does ???

Thank you
Paul

If you start with which boiler and controls you have and what exactly is happening/ not happening perhaps we could help, stop changing things you think might be broken as you can create more problems.

Thanks denso13 I'm just asking in advance just in case it is faulty.
I will be testing all components before going any further anyway but thanks for the advice
Thank you
Paul

Paul, you need to start checking with your multimeter. Might not even be a faulty part, with the fault your describing could just be a case of the wiring being wrong, such as the hw off not being wired into grey of the mid position valve and satisfied on the cyl stat (an all too common mistake that can go years unnoticed)

Cheers for the advice dean the system has been ok for the last ten years so I assumed the wiring was ok, that's why I think a faulty component.
Thanks
Paul
