have had a recent problem of no c/h only hot water i changed the overheat stat and this solved the problem only to create another.
now i cannot turn heating off by timer or the small switch for (con.off.timer) when i turn the timing clock to check and see if burner goes out nothing happens unsure how old boiler is, at present we are using boiler temp.contol to keep heating on, then using stand by to switch off.any ideas anyone

check the hot water flow swich isnt stuck
if you look at the pcb there should be a red led on when you open the h/w tap it should go out when you turn the tap off
if not the switch is stuck

this has now been explained several times - if you do a search you should find plenty on it.
