I'm going to fit a power shower in the next couple of weeks and wondered where the best location would be for the pump. I have an airing cupboard 2.5m from where the shower will be located in the bathroom and could probally fit it in there or does it need to be closer to the shower. I'm having a free standing bath so won't be able to hide it. The only other option would be to fit it under the floor which will be tiled, probally could make an ventilated enclosure with a lid flush to the tiles surface so it could be removed should anything go wrong, what's the best solution.

You will probably get a load of vibration traveling through the floorspace if you put it down there.

I'd go for the airing cupboard myself - nice and accessible.

Airing is the best option. Its important to get at least 1 side of the pump's impeller's to self vent through vertical pipework. Inlet will be easy if fitted below top of cylinder.
