Hi there,

There are a lot of discussions around SW/PF but I just wanted to ask a simple question.

I need to connect a 50mm SW Waste Pipe into a stack ... can I use a push fit boss adaptor on the stack to connect the 50mm into? The reason I wanted to do this is that I am struggling to find the correct Solvent Weld boss adaptor, which makes me think most people just push fit the waste pipe into the stack...

If I am wrong could someone point me to the correct Boss Adaptor for solvent weld. I will probably use Osma...

Thanks in advance.

Use push fit, there needs to be a flexible joint at that point to allow for movement between the waste and stack. Terrain plastics are often used for solvent welded stacks, the Terrain boss fitting, whilst glued to the stack, has a ring seal joint at the other end where the waste pipe connects.
