Pva before one-coat?

I'm about to use one-coat over painted walls in an effort to make them nice and flat instead of horridly all over the place (old style internal rendering). Do I need to pva before I use the one-coat like I would with multil? The instructions on the bag don't mention it.
I'm hoping not but expect I do

Persoally I would, but sticking anything to paint is never going to give good results.
