Hello All

Have any of you used quick books and what do you think of it.

What do you want it for? Small business books?

I have been using Wave; I find it pretty intuitive, it's free and I reckon that it could work well for most small businesses.

(AFAIK Xero is the leader in cloud accounting for small businesses but has a fee)

Quickbooks is American, the small business software used to be poor for UK style accounts.

I dont know what their sole trader software is like -it looks quite good.

I would suggest asking on the UKbusiness forum -it has an accounting section.

If you are vat registered you are best to use an accounts package.many trademen that arent vat registered use the plastic carrier bag method of accounting

I use an accountant. seriously they actually can save you quite a lot of money.

Whatever you get, make sure it's MTD compatible, otherwise you will be changing it in a year or two to something else.
