No no Richard you should always clean them out, but if he doesn't cut his wire tails back and put them in the back box,
then you trim them short, and when you clean the box out you tap the fixed lug in a little so its not square. :twisted:

when he turned up he plastered the walls with board finish. done it really thick one coat and it looks really good . done it in about 6 hours . smooth finish. :lol: thanks for advice everyone
 
Well, assuming it's still on the walls and looking good, you deserve to feel smug!

I've also heard tell of putting extra marking nicks on the wires, or cutting off three nicks and putting one on etc  8)

I have even seen an extra box complete with wires iit being put in a wall - just to flummox the sparkie.
