Radiator valve flow direction

My radiators have Danfoss TRVs fitted and I'm replacing them with Tado smart TRVs.
There's a wee arrow on the radiator valve that from what I can see on Danfoss in structions should be set to the direction of flow. At present most of the heaters are set between both arrows. Is this correct or should they all be set to the arrow ?
 
The arrow should be set at either position depending on the flow direction....how have they been left in between?
