Radiators getting hot when they shouldn't be :(

I have a conventional boiler with a Hive heating system and recently I've noticed that the radiators are getting hot even when they shouldn't be (ie when Hive should only be heating hot water).

I think it's down to this thing right?

I've noticed it's 'clicking' sometimes. Is this faulty? Do I need to get a plumber to replace it? Or could it be more simple/complicated?

Cheers!

It's a motorised valve ,and very probably the cause of your issue. Engage a plumber ,if you can find one still working ,to verify and fit a new one.
