Radio secucrity code for 2005 Fiesta is no go

Ford's own in dash stereo.

My uncle had a new battery fitted and the radio needs the code entered.

The code in the owner's book isn't accepted.

Is it a job for a Ford garage ?

No, any car audio place can do it. Some manufactures used to put a sticker with the code behind the interior light !

I presume if the code's not accepted, the security chip has a fault or the code is wrong in the book.

If its a chip fault, can it be reprogrammed?

More likley the radio has been replaced at some time, or it's not the vehicles original handbook.

If ford still use Phillips radio code can be recovered from serial number.

Look on the sticker on the back/side of the radio for the serial number (it will be M followed by six digits) and then enter them into here to get your unlock code.

When you have the 4 digit code, press button number 1 until you get the first digit up, then button 2 for the second, 3 for the third and 4 for the fourth. When you have the correct code displayed press button number 5 and it's done.
