Just in the process of building some retaining walls which will also be two raised patio areas, one on each side of the house with steps down to a further pation area.
These walls are approx 1.2m in height. There will be planting in front of the walls of about 0.5m in width acting as a barrier to the lower level pation. My question is do I also require some sort of fixed guarding like balustrades for building regs?
I understand the stairs need handrails but can't see anything anywhere about this type of outside area.
