I'm installing herringbone engineered flooring in my dining room and I will want to raise the level of the floor by a few MM in order that it will be at the same level as the tiled floor in the adjacent room.
The subfloor is concrete and level.
The flooring in the adjacent room hasn't been installed yet (but will before I install the herringbone) so I don't know what the exact difference will be but am expecting it to be in the range of 4-8mm.
I was thinking of either gluing down plywood of the appropriate thickness and then gluing down on that or installing self levelling compound (though that's something I've not tried before).
