Hi all,
My 10 year old boiler now makes a whirring noise when the burner is on, followed by a clunk when it switches off. The nPower engineer who came to service it and see about the repair said it needed a new fan and gasket. When I tried to arrange the repair appointment nPower told me they made a mistake in agreeing to come out in the first place, as they stopped having anything to do with this boiler some years ago.

While I wonder what to do next, my question is does this problem with the fan make the boiler unsafe?

We have not seen the boiler so cannot surmise on its safety.

Baxi and BG both will provide cover on this model.

There can be safety issues so its important to ensure its professionally maintained.
