Having a problem with my Ravenheat RSF 84ET. The boiler stopped working when it was switched on and I can no longer get it to ignite.

When switched on I can hear the pump come on, then fan, then pilot light ignition but the main burner does not work (hence no hot water or heating). The cycle then repeats but each time the main burner fails to light.

The fault chart leads me to replace the ignition board (PCB) but that didn't work. I've also replaced the Pressure Switch and checked the thermistors on the CH and DHW (both ok).

Any ideas? This leads me to think either gas valve or pilot light assembly.

I think you need a (registered) boiler repair man.

Of course I wouldn't hesitate to get someone in to replace a gas valve or something related to that side of things. Just thought I'd check the electronic parts first and order a spare part prior to someone coming out if I could work out what it was.
