Had an intermittent fault with the boiler - it would only light if I gave the pressure switch(5009040) a knock........I decided to install a new pressure switch, all quite easy, only two vacuum hoses to transfer over and a couple of wires.

I still have to give the NEW pressure switch a knock for the boiler to light, most bizarre....any ideas what the problem might be ?

I think the problem is one that you need to call a gas registered enginer to solve.

If I was repairing it I would expect to be using water.
