Hi,

I'be been having problems for a few weeks with a ravenheat boiler which only supplies hot water to the taps when the central heating is on, otherwise, it won't even try to fire(no noises or anything when switching the taps on).

Any advice about the potential causes?

Thanks,

Afi

If you say what model, instead of just the maker, it would help. I drive a Ford, but I bet you can't tell the model?

Sorry, just had a look, it's a Ravenheat little star LS80

Could it be a 1949 Ford V8 Pilot?

One of my custs has a Ford Mustang ! About 6 litres engine!

Wow, after months of boiler problems, the boiler seems to work as normal now, I think the micro switch was the cause of all the issues

Thanks so much!

I know this is an old thread now, but I've been having problems again. The timer for my boiler remains always on, even if it is set to off and so the only way to switch the boiler off is by turning the power off.

Also, I am having problems with the boiler firing for about 10 seconds and switching off again and can only resolve this by pulling the microswitch out, is this a sign of a broken diverted valve?
