Ravenheat CSI 150/N, heating not coming on

Hi all

I have the above boiler and the hot water works fine but the heating wont come on via the timer, all the settings are correct and the red led is on to say the heating should be on but the boiler wont fire, the only way I can get it on is by switching the boiler off at the mains then back on, it will then switch off at the selected time set on the time clock so I don't think its a timer problem, even the on/off switch on the front of the boiler has no effect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Isnt the red light a lockout light?

I dont think so Tony, from what I can remember the led comes on when the heating is on or when it should be on.
