Re-siting washing machine

I'm after moving my washing machine from one side of the room to the other, there's no problem with the waste pipe, that's still accessible, but the existing water supply is about 3 metres away - is there a maximum length of hose you can use and or do I need to get new supply fitted (mains supply is nearby)

you can attach another hose to the existing one.
or lenghten the copper one.

I would go the extended copper route. Went into a property where they had a leak behind some base units. Turned out it was the plastic joint between the two hoses that had cracked.
