Recessing a sliding door

Hi,
I'm about to build a stud/gyprock wall between two rooms and need to recess a sliding door into the wall (so that the door slides into the wall). How do I go about this? To begin with I presume the wall needs to be thicker than usual, but from there I'm having trouble locating info.
