i'm going to be recessing some plastic pipes in a breeze block and plasterboard wall in my bathroom. It'll be pipes from under the floor up to a wall mounted tap.

Is there any special precautions I should take? I'll be using speedfit connections.

Thanks
Chris

why do I avoid connections in walls? Is this any type of connection?

Joints are usually the most likely part of any system to leak. If they leak in a wall they can go un-noticed, causing damage and waste of water. it is also very difficult to repair a fitting inside a wall.

If you are using speedfit /plastic pipe then just use a single run from underfloor, don't join two short lengths together.

okey.

I plan to use a wall mounted tap, so the pipes for this will obviously have to be recessed. It would have to be a right angle bend for these - do you recommend using copper for this then?
