I have a STIHL FS45 grass strimmer.
The recoil starter rope would not return after pulling to start the engine.
I unscrewed the cover of the recoil assembly and found that the pulley wheel was very stiff for no apparent reason.
I undid the split pin holding the pulley an slowly lifted the wheel. Unfortunately the spring escaped rather drastically!! The problem is to get it back in.
Is there a jig for this operation or is it a job for the Stihl service people
