Hi all,

Am in the process of building a media wall. Trying to decide on an electric fire for it - bit of a minefield!

I don't have £2k to fork out for a fire, so trying to keep it in or around the £1k range, but equally don't want to be looking at it for the next 5-10 years regretting it!

I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations? So far I've looked at:

Evolution Spectrum Series Panoramic HD+ 60 Inch 3 Sided Fire – Prestige Home Fires

Rosedale 3 Sided Electric Fire - Endeavour Fires

Knighton 51'' Electric Fireplace (fireplaceshops.com)

Ezee Glow 60'' Celestial Built-In Electric Fire — GR8 Fires

Any input appreciated!

I used a mirrorstone white 1800 watt wall heater, from amazon, and fitted a switchable timer

I would definitely recommend going to see one in person in a shop/supplier first.
We have just bought a Solution Lux150 and looked at a few different ones in the stores and the flame effect and logs differs a lot between them - some looked pretty crap.

Do you actually need a heat source - no rads in the room. Why put a fire in and have your TV way too high just to have a fire. I have a feeling that "media walls" are going to be the next - artex people will be wondering why the hell people did that. What "media exactly is going into the extended space you have just removed from your room when you made your media wall

Dammit I have just realised its an old post resurrected by Jenny robinson ( first post ) of - that's right --- Rosedale 3-Sided Electric Fires
