Hi I've tried wading through a lot of the threads already to try and find explanation and hopefully a cure for my problem but none seem to come up that are quite right so forgive me for starting yet another thread regarding mouldy windows.
I totally understand that condensation causes mildew and mould but this is a bit different... it seems to only happen in the conservatory and only in a couple or three windows so I'm wondering if there is a fault in the frame or something.
This red "growth" is growing out of the crack where the beading joins the frame at the bottom of the window .... one window only on one side, two on the opposite side and on one of those two, there is quite a lot of mildewy growth on the bottom of the window itself on the rubber seal.
There are no trickle vents in there (the wind can absolutely howl around the back of the house where it is and used to drive me mad blowing through the ones in the french doors that it now surrounds) but there is a radiator and the units are these argon filled with thermal spacers type if that should make any difference?
Any help/advice what it could be and how to cure it as it's quite awkward to clean off/out of the crack between beading and frame, not to mention it looks flippin awful!
Thanks
