Reduce UPVC frame width

Hello,
I need a new garage window. Original width is 1215mm.
I have the opportunity of a cheap 1240 wide one, can I trim 12.5mm off each side of the UPVC frame without too much trouble?

I've seen a guy using an electric planner to trim uPVC. 12.5mm is a lot though. That will take the side off frame

Single skin? Would be easy to chop half an inch off the brickwork on the rear half of the depth then mount the window from inside, butted up to the remaining brick. This way it'll look like you've chopped the frame

All that said, it's a garage; no need to be precious about the window frame!

I think you could and if it makes it very wobbly then you could spray foam a length of wood in there. I think the rib depths around the edge will be ok to take off but I think 12mm may go into the frame body

I’ve been and measured the window myself and it’s actually 1235mm so need to lose 20mm thinking I will be able to take the ribs off and then hopefully squeeze it in.

It’s a concrete pre fab so can probably grind a touch of concrete off either side if needs be.
