Reform now the largest party in UK

well that proved my point.
Motorbiking and Highway Man thinks letting Putin conquer Ukraine is the best way to make Europe safe.

Motorbiking says that because he supports Russian backed Reform party
Highwayman thinks that because he knows no better.

The U.K. left a trade bloc of $19 trillion and became a trade country of $3 trillion.

Our 3 biggest trade partners are EU, USA, China Do you think we have any leverage in trade negotiations with them?

Well, we got a better trade deal with the US than the EU.

paid by the high earners who have "big tech" jobs, because the UK is attractive to "big tech".
So let's encourage all this big tech in, and not tax them.

Ok. But that means you have to pay more instead.

It's really simple, if big companies make big money they should pay big tax. It's all relative. They won't leave the country if they still make big profits.

And then look at how we are subsidising them by not taxing then. But taxing ourselves instead AND still incur USA tariffs

oh dear its carman economics again...

maybe have a think about how many 45% tax payers it takes to provide the same tax income as 100, 20% tax payers.

So you agree with subsidising foreign companies making profits here.

I don't have a problem with that. Just stop protesting about paying the extra tax.

Or accept if they make a big profit they should pay big tax.

You're talking nonsense. You're suggesting that making a country attractive from a tax point of view, reduces tax take. Its nonsense, there is a reason Dublin for example was so successful at attracting "big tech" and it has nothing to do with the beer.

I'm simply saying tax the big companies (properly) making big profits here.

Alternatively you (we all) can pay the extra tax.

These companies won't run away you know, if big profits are at stake.

It's obvious we agreed to go gentle on tax to keep our USA tariffs down.

You are welcome to bend over, I prefer not to.

So stop protesting about paying your tax

I understand what you are saying

no need - if we attract big tech, we get big tech jobs, jobs that pay the sort of tax I pay.
These companies won't run away you know, if big profits are at stake.
nonsense - the profits will go elsewhere as they have done anytime elsewhere is a more efficient tax location. e.g. Dublin.

you're talking complete boll@x.

I understand what you are saying
Good, it's simple

Look at history. You keep telling us people avoid the tax anyway they can, legally if course

So sort the tax basis properly. Make profit here, pay tax here.

Keep bending over and paying the tax if you don't want to tax companies making big profits.

These companies won't walk away from big profits at the expense of paying tax. As long as the profit is there so will they be.

total nonsense ...

...because they easily can and do.

Oh look.. I wonder what is going on here:
