Reform Policies

I copied this from my local NextDoor feed...

Nigel Farage has announced that 600,000 aliens are to be deported. So who are they that need to go? Based on the widespread belief that Reform mean what they say, Matt Goodwin standing for Reform in Gorton and Denton has helpfully provided a definition for the true British. It is those rooted in this country for several generations. So that’s those who are white and English-speaking as a first language and whose forebears were born here. If you don’t tick those boxes you are not ‘us you are ‘them’ and Reform with their new ICE militia will come for you. If you think you need to give Reform a chance that’s the chance you are taking.
Don’t say you weren’t warned .
About time a tough stance was made. This is exactly what will get Reform through the next elections. Hopefully we will get our version of ICE here.

At the moment, Reform are only talking about deporting people who are in the UK illegally.

Some on the far right are talking about the ethnic cleansing of those British citizens who they don't deem to have enough British DNA. But that is not Reform's position at the moment.

Illegals are all that we need out, ethnic cleansing is not required or wanted.

Everything comes down to money with you.
It has to be a significant consideration. The bigger the burden of the state on the tax payer, the more jobs go overseas and the poorer we get as a nation. It's almost that simple.

12,400 New Prison Places on MoD Land in Under 18 Months. We will end the prison place shortage. During the covid crisis, NHS Nightingale hospitals were built in weeks with help from the British Armed Forces. We would build 5 new Nightingale Prisons with the assistance of the Army. These would be low cost, high security, pre-fabricated modular structures of concrete and metal. Prisons would be named after historical figures involved in policing reform, Ex. Sir Robert Peel.
Personally I think that is a lot of noise. I suspect once you look at the requirements for high security prisons, it will probably take the same time and cost as a normal prison. I also don't like the idea of getting the Army to do skivvy work.

10,400 More Prison Places by Transfer of Foreign Prisoners to Country of Origin. Bilateral agreements will be made so foreign offenders finish their sentence in their own country. Already accepted practice by the EU and UN. Denmark has an agreement with Kosovo.
There is nothing new here. If they come from countries where prison is cheaper and they are going to get deported back there anyway, why not move them now. There is nothing not to like and it frees up existing places.

10,000 + Additional “Dynamic Prison” Places Overseas. Serious offenders will serve their time overseas. We will acquire flexible, low cost prison capacity through rented prison cells in third party countries. We would consider multiple partners including El Salvador.
If the cost of living is lower in these countries, there is a real opportunity to house serious prisoners for a fraction of the cost, while not compromising on "quality". As long as they have exhausted all appeals, the only issue is visitation. You may be unaware that less than half of those in this category receive any face to face visitors.

It will be dropped before the next election. Most British people aren't cruel.

Re form want to legislate so that anti Musslim discrimination is authorised, simple as that.
That will be just the start.
The anti immigrant shtick is just a Trojan horse to get into power.
Farage wants to privatise the health service, he thinks Liz Truss is a genius.
That should be an indication of his true aims.

No idea who or what NextDoor is but that's just lies, presumably all made-up by an angry nutter with personal hygiene issues (i.e. a socialist).

I for one would welcome a version of ICE here. I would sign up to hunt out the illegals.
They may need to be armed. I'm uncomfortable about that, but it's a price worth paying.

If they're not armed then the angry nutter protestors will just obstruct their every step. They'll need to shoot the odd one to keep the rest in check.

We try to do this already. We already have agreements with more than one hundred other countries. But the only figures I could find showed that we only managed to return about 100 foreign prisoners each year on this basis. The rest of the 6,000 foreign prisoners we return each year get early release and are set free. Maybe, we just need to give more money to the countries involved. Information about whether it could work in practice is very hard to find.

We only return where we know they won't be either set free or treated cruelly. We insist on them having our particular balance of tough but fair, which hardly exists outside of Europe.

It would make more sense to just accompany them to their customs point at the airport then hand them over. We have no need to care what happens to them beyond that point. Whether they get freedom or die isn't our problem.

Presumably the Human Rights Act prevents all this, but that won't exist in the UK in a few years.

That's not right. We return several thousand each year to be set free.

I don't think it is human rights stopping this. But if anyone can find some accurate information that would be helpful.
