Hi, can anyone advise on how to remove this Reggiani Axel 11736.10 light fitting which is attached to bathroom ceiling? I cannot find any instructions online. The photos show close ups of some of what I think are clips on the edge but I cannot work out how to loosen them so I can take out the fitting without damaging the ceiling. Many thanks.

If you remove all the gubbins with the power off, do the clips not pull out, ive messed with something similar and they are a pain in the @#£%

Hi @devm
It looks like the unit's bezel is well integrated into the ceiling, so you'll have to get a sharp knife to separate the bezel from the plasterboard.
After a bit of searching, my AI friend gives this insight. I hope it helps:

Based on the product data sheet for the Reggiani Axel Fixed Recessed Compact Luminaire, the fixture uses the Mollablok system for installation.
Removal Instructions (Mollablok System):

  • Fixing Mechanism: The fixture utilizes the patented Mollablok system, designed for quick installation and removal in false ceilings.
  • Removal Procedure: The luminaire body (die-cast aluminium) is coupled via a turning mechanism. To remove, gently pull down the fixture while releasing the Mollablok tensioners holding it against the ceiling, often requiring a slight rotation or pulling against the spring mechanism.
  • Tool Requirement: The datasheet does not specify a specialized, separate tool for removal, implying it can be removed manually by disengaging the Mollablok system.
For precise instructions regarding the specific 11736 variant, it is recommended to consult the "Installation guide – Trimless luminaires" or "The yellow manual" on the Reggiani website.
