Hi,
I have a mixer tap in my kitchen which was white when it was new. Some of the paint has worn away exposing brass. So my idea is to remove all the white paint and I am wondering about the best way to do that. I gave it a wipe with fine steel wool soaked in white spirit, and also tried using toothpaste as an abrasive. The toothpaste worked quite well.
Any ideas about how I should get all the paint off?
I have an electric drill so maybe some kind of cloth disc in it as used by car repair guys? I favour an abrasive paste, but I don't know what to use.
I will give nail varnish remover a go.
Thank you all
