I've taken a radiator off to plaster the wall.

I turned the lockshield valve off a put a blanking nut on the right hand side (the thermostat side) as I read if the temperature drops it can turn itself on.

However I haven't put a blanking nut on the left hand side, is there any chance at all of water suddenly coming through?

can I still use the heating without a blanking nut on the left hand side?
