removing hw element

hi,
what is the best method of removing the heating element off a hw tank, i'm worried if its very tight i might damage the copper tank or worse cause a leak. can anyone suggest what works for them? thanks

Get one of those boy scout style can openers, that should get it out. Then go to B n Q for some Plumbers Mait (not to be confused with the real stuff) and glob the new one in with it.

I mean how many ways are there to explain, get hoild of big hexagonal bit and undo it in sensible fashion, having surrounded it with towel, shut off supply opened tap etc...
If tank breaks get a new one.
Difficult in it?
