Removing wet bed tile

My bathroom is 53 years old and we want to replace the tub and toilet and sink. But we will need to remove the "53 year old" wet bed tile before we can install the new tub. We only want to remove about 12 inches of tile since the remainder is in perfect condition. How do we do this without destroying all of the tile?

use a small grinder and cut around the ones you want to remove then a bolster and chisel.
