I have three defective TRVs to replace - all leaking around the spindle. Before going down the system draining route i was wondering if anyone had heard of this device - I can't find much about it on the internet, although they appear to consist of some kind of cycle pump and valve which is supposed to push the rad water back into the header tank, leaving the rad clear and available for repair / replacement. The trade name is 'Remrad' but i dont kow who manufactures it.

sounds like "Moses" parting the waters !!!

never heard of it. surely easier just t drain down, check water colour etc decide if it needs cleaning....do the job and fill up with nice new inhibitor

Herz are the only people we know of where you can change a TRV's inard without draining off by using a specialist toolset.

If one company can do it i'm sure there must be others.
