Render over 1930 pebble dash , tips advise. HELP

I`m planning to render the tired looking and over painted 1930 pebble dash.

I know someone will say to remove the pebble dash completely but doing that would cause load of vibration and crack on a fully refurbished house.

I was thinking to nail the EML mesh to the existing render than 2 coat of scratch sand cement and 1 coat of finish sand cement.

Would this work? Any tips advise are welcome

Look at the k-rend system for going over painted cast or render.
Keep in mind increasing the depth of existing render can affect the drips on the cills, window reveals etc.
