I'm planning on rendering a victorian bay window. I've spent the past couple of weeks removing the paint from the three external pillars - and have this evening got down to the bare substrate (red brick like material). There are lots of cracks and it needs rendering.

It's going to be difficult for me to feather the external angles, and was thinking I should use beading.

A few questions:

1. What kind of beading should I get? I'm looking to keep skim as thin as possible.
2. Can you get beading for 45 degree angles?
3. What's the best way to fix the beading - could I set with dabs of render?
4. What render would you recommend - I bought some toupret but thinking this is too expensive a product for job?

Cheers
