Hi all,

Just wondered if somebody could point me in the right direction?

I want to replace the render on the gable end of my house as the original horsehair render over wooden laths has become porous.

My question is what is the best method to use. I was thinking some sort of vapour barrier along with a stirling board and EML backing, followed by the render and high quality paint covering.
I've seen Tommy Walsh do this on a timber frame house on one of his programs and I like the sturdyness compared to a mesh render construction.

Am I on the right lines??
