Replace drain off cock washer

This drain off cock is leaking. I imagine it's the washer as i made it tighter and it made no difference. How do i change it? Do I need any specialist tools?

Spanner to fit the square nut and a set of grips for the knurled nut are all you need. Washer is simple to replace.
Unscrew the knurled nut and withdraw the valve to expose the washer.

1. And don't forget to drain the pipe and anything behind it or you'll get wet.
2. Not always easy to find the right sized washer. Do it when you can get to a decent plumber's merchant.

Great advice guys, thanks. You're right about the washer. Bought the wrong size so had to re attached everything with the old one in place. Will get to a plumbers merchant tomorrow!
