Replacement flex for steam iron

I am looking for a replacement flex for my steam iron. Easy i thought. Get one on-line no probs.....WRONG!!!
Does anyone know where i can get one? How can it be this difficult??!!! :mad:

Any decent electrical shop, DIY or maybe ironmongery store should have suitable flex. I assume you are after the braided type - you shouldn't fit standard pvc sheathed flex to an iron. It's not cheap - about 3 quid a metre when I last bought some - and you will need a couple of metres.
 
when changing it, I think it worthwhile to fit a rather longer one - makes it easier to iron large things without having to be right close to the socket.

Thanks.....there wasnt any in my local diy store and no staff on shift at the time new if they even stocked it. Usual nightmare experience. Hence looking online. I will look harder. :confused:
