Replacing a fused spur with a single socket

Ive had a fireplace removed, it was fed power directly from a fused spur, i disconnected the electrical cable going from the fused spur to the fireplace so it doesent supply anything now.

The closest socket to it is about 2.5 metres away from it.

Is it possible to replace this with a bog standard single plug socket so i can connect an appliance?
