Replacing a honywell? 4200 3879-001 room stat

Hi
I have that wall stat (2 wires) on my apollo boiler marked Myson Apollo 15/30 30/50 40 50/65 ?
The timer is a Smiths? TS300/S/T/A

I wanted something that would be programmable and so looked at a
Horstmann DRT2 Programmable Digital Room Thermostat

would this be suitable? or could you recommend one - what to look out for

That horstmann is a terrible programmable stat. Made by the devil himself. Using it requires a PhD.

Honeywell cm907 would be a better option.

The existing stat says 2amp? So the timer takes the load?
So connect the new one up and just leave on continuous on the timer and let the stat do all the switching? Definitely compatible?
