Replacing our (useless) Mulga bar mixer with a Hudson Reed traditional exposed valve. Existing h&c outlets are standard 150mm centres, but I need to secure the new valve body directly to the wall, via a blanking plate and three 8mm wall plugs. Worried about what's lurking behind the tiles.
Is there any reason to suspect the pipework runs horizontally between the outlets, across where I need to drill, as opposed to vertically straight up? I've tried using a pipe detector but, unsurprisingly, it is telling me nothing useful.
Any top tips to help avoid copper and tungsten carbide coming together would be greatly appreciated.
