I need to replace the euro lock cylinder. When attempting to remove the cylinder to measure it, I extracted the securing machine screw without difficulty but there is no movement at all in the cylinder, however I adjust the key. What might cause this and is there any way to overcome the problem? The door furniture appears to be a standard strip lock.

I am quite sure that I have removed the correct screw, I have done this before on other doors. Also on all other doors the cylinder was movable as soon as the screw was removed even if a certain amount of key fiddling was required to ease it out. This one is rock solid.
