Replacing French doors side panels with windows

Hi guys,

Just wondering if this was possible, I have added a couple of pictures from the internet to show everyone what I mean.

We currently have upvc French doors fitted with a side panel on each side. Is it possible to replace just the side panels with side panels with integrated upper windows?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

All depends if the exisiting side panels are actually part of the frame or separate frames. Separate frames it would be really straight forward... welded as part of the door frame.. would require cutting frame and bodging in the join ..and I do mean bodging
