Hi, I have ripped out old laminate flooring in our 1900 house but the hardwood battens are very damaged, probably why they planked cheap laminate on top! Do you have any recommendations on best way to replace these and where I could get the right size?

It’s just joists underneath.

I was thinking of taking a strip into a merchant and getting as close as I can get and replace them, they are about 4/5m long. I have yet to pull out the rest but expect the same result.

Putting carpet on top for the wee ones room but don’t want to leave the subfloor in this state.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The socket/wall is the next issue! Will likely need to replace wood behind the skirtings as well as all pulling away

I knew a floor sander restoration guy. He used to work on wooden floors and had a storage unit full of old reclaimed wooden flooring strips.
Contact your local floor renovation company and ask would be my first step.

Wood joinery shop would make some to your requirements as another option
