Hello All,

I have an old (circa 1960's I think) ,but very efficient, Sadia hot water cylinder which supplies all hot water to a tiny flat. It has two side entry immersion heaters and either one or both have faulty thermostats as the water becomes scalding hot. How do I replace these thermostats? Do I have to drain the tank or do I simply disconnect, pull out and replace with ones of a similar spec.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Most will be possible to replace just the thermostat if you are competent to work on electrical components.

However because you have to ask this question rather than just looking at it I wonder if you might not be better getting someone who can be trusted to know what they are doing.
