Small ground floor bathroom is being ripped out and turned into a shower room. The plan is for the shower tray to go where the existing WC is located - the 4" soil pipe goes straight down through the concrete floor. I'm planning on using a waste adaptor like this one from Screwfix http://www.screwfix.com/search.do;j...FFY?_dyncharset=UTF-8&fh_search=waste+adaptor to connect the shower waste pipework to the soil pipe (though I'll probably actually get the McAlpine drain connector for 1.5" inch pipe). This seems like a straightforward way to get the waste away from the shower.

Anybody know if there are any regs that prevent me from doing it this way?

Thanks
