replacing vaillant vrt50 with a non programmable one?

My mother has a 2 wired vaillant vrt50 fitted a struggles to operate it (she is 80 years old). Can you replace this unit with a standard non programmable one...

You can replace it with a Glowworm climastat (around £25), it will use the same Ebus wiring. You'll need to do the initial settings but after that it is turn up/down - ssimples
