hi,
i have recentally installed a pyronix sterling 10 alarm panel, and have carried out testing for current, and voltage. However i am looking for help on resistance readings as i am not sure what they should read, the system is wired as a 'closed loop' system...
does anybody know what sort of readings i should expect to see... :?:  :D

You should expect to see the actual resistance of the circuit.

ie, the cable.

If you know the cable you used, then you can look up it's resistance per meter and thus you can calculate whether the resistance you read is what is should be for the length of cable installed..

if you can not figure out how to do that i wonder should you be doing the job?

you must also dissconnect each loop while you are doing it
