Hi folks, looking for a wee bit of advice before starting on (what I hope should be) a fairly straight forward decking project.
I currently have a small 'seating' area at the rear of my property roughly 3 foot wide by 15 foot long. This is met by a small retaining wall, which slopes up my garden eventually leading to my lawn. Apologies for the poor image:
My plan is to partially deck this area, and take the decking onto the second layer around 2 foot. Now to do this I obviously need to remove some of the stones and earth from the retaining wall. Once this area is cleared, how is the best way to re-enforce the remaining earth so as to not have my garden subside? Timber cladding? Move the stones back? Or build a new brick mini wall?
