retrofit UFH, stairs

I've done quite a bit of searching but can't find the answer to this one.

If i retrofit UFH over a solid concrete floor using, say, a 20mm system. what do folks usually do when it comes to stairs?

The first step will now be 20mm lower. Do you live with it, reinstall the stairs or try and even out the 20mm over maybe 5-10 treads?

Done quite a few never had anyone query that one.
Your overthinking it you will never notice after a day or two.

Ok fair enough, I did notice it’s against building regs for new build to have stair different height but I get retro fit is exempt and if you don’t notice it’s all good.
